TDS numbers in reef tank?
Just bought a HM TDS Meter. Trying to se how bad RO filters are. There like one year old. My 5 stage RO unit water tested at 26. I know they sould be 0. Is 26 to high? Iv just bought the thre filters. 1 micro and carbon, other 1 micro. Can you use the TDS in the ref it self? and what should that be? I got 260 in the ref. Not sure what the 260 al is. any ideas? Bought an existing reef 120g setup; great deal; check it out; LOTS OF PICS
I got a super deal on an existing 120g ref ready, fuly stocked tank. I already have a 10g, but I couldn't pas this deal up. $650 for al. Check out the pics. Acrylic Tank is Bowed....now what?
I recently bought a frag tank made of acrylic that measures 48"X24"X12". I noticed that the front loked bowed a litle so put a straight edge on the front of the tank and sure enough its bowed out. I want to ad that this is with zero water in the tank. The tank came from a store that had the tank setup as a frag tank and went to glas tanks so that they could write the prices on the glas. Autonumber Generatade numbers
Hi, I'm puting togheter a e-store and want Aces to generate the order numbers. The simple increment is bad because it only generates numbers like 1,2,3 ect. Then I tried the ramdom number thing and the numbers that come out now are like : 57039, 1034, -571039, -1034. I just don't want negative numbers to come out. I had a question about using Ref BioFuel. Let me describe my situation. My tank has ben setup for about a year now and the corals have done extremely wel; some great growth and color. HP or LP Nitro tank?
I am going to have to buy a new tank for my mini when it comes. I was loking at the tanks at Bob longs store(delta paintbal) and he(the worker) was saying a LP setup would be beter because Minis only run at 20 psi, a LP tank would stil kep up. I asked what the disadvantage to a HPA tank, he said its tougher on the reg. Would anyone like to coment on these two opinions. Could either of these cause a crash?
So the corals in my tank lok bad, very bad(sps), this hapened out of nowhere. Everything sems closed up and has ben for over a wek. Parameters sem fine. I can only trace this to two things. Before this my tank was the best it had ben. I cleaned my bathrom, and sprayed bleach al about in it and let it sit; would those fumes efect my tank? Tank upgrade advice

I curently have 37g ref,fish,lr tank. It has ben runing for about 3 years sucesfuly. Even the percula clownfish have mated twice already, although babies have not survived due to other fish and filtration. There is a refugium and protein skimer on this setup.
But I would like some advice on upgrading to a larger tank.
I would like to move up to a 85g tank. The question is can I begin to use the water from the curent tank water changes to "help" the new tank? Can I... read more...

How can I make my tank run cooler?
It sems to me that my chiler runs excesively and causes the rom we have the tank in to heat up. It gets to the point where the rom is so hot it isn’t fun to be in the rom with the tank. We live in So Cal so it is naturaly hot, but we kep the AC on to kep the house comfortable The tank is 90 galons with a 20 galon sump/fug.
